IT Business Analyst

Tasks – Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs, hold meetings, and coordinate directly with the client
  • Document requirements – create a requirements specification outlining what the client wants, including migration needs
  • Prepare the requirements specification using established templates, with descriptions, tables, and diagrams
  • Develop user manuals and test scenarios
  • Conduct user training and prepare training materials; provide demos to prospective clients if needed
  • Assist the Project Manager and Technical Lead in monitoring resources, estimates, and deadlines
  • Coordinate with the System Organizer (SA) to clarify system capabilities and limitations, ensuring that functionalities communicated to the client can actually be implemented in the system
  • Actively contribute to shaping and developing the internal Business Analyst methodology

Support-related tasks:

  • Participate in L3-level issue and problem management
  • Help refine development tasks/requests identified during troubleshooting
  • Update relevant documentation when system changes occur

Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst
  • Experience in banking, finance, or energy sectors
  • Confident modeling skills (e.g., BPMN, UML) with experience using modeling tools
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Independent, precise, and accurate work style

Would be an advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics or Economics
  • Experience with custom development projects
  • PMI-PBA, CBAP, Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience implementing document or business process management systems
  • Experience with IBM Business Automation products (DataCap, FileNet, BAW)
  • Experience using SoapUI/Postman
  • Participation in developing and implementing business analyst methodologies
