Creative Community Experiences at Work: A Tabletop Role-Playing Evening in the Meeting Room

Team building at Barre goes beyond the usual coffee breaks together: we also regularly make room for creative community initiatives such as tabletop role-playing games. Most recently, nine of our colleagues gathered in the meeting room for an interactive evening of collaborative storytelling. Games like this combine strategic planning, tactical thinking, creative problem-solving, empathetic listening, assertive communication and improvisation, and they take collaboration between colleagues to a whole new level.

Over several hours of play, the participants had to make tough decisions together, solve tricky puzzles, disarm traps and make the most of the synergies within the team. The relaxed evening was full of humorous situations and unexpected twists, and success called for real creativity and smooth communication.

Company events like this show how diverse and inventive our teams at Barre are. Although there were a few instructive “adventuring mishaps” along the way, the participants ended the evening with unforgettable memories and an even stronger team spirit.
