Football World Cup 2026 at Barré

One of the biggest sporting events of the summer of 2026 is the FIFA World Cup, which captivates millions of fans around the globe. It provided a great opportunity for us at Barré to organize several community activities inspired by the tournament.

At the initiative of our colleagues, we launched an internal World Cup prediction game, where participants competed to predict match results as accurately as possible. The top performers will be recognized and awarded at our Sports Day in early August.

However, the excitement around football did not stop there. Since several members of our team regularly play FIFA, it did not take long for the idea of organizing a company FIFA tournament to emerge. Hosted in our chill room, the event gave everyone the chance to showcase their virtual football skills.

Many colleagues signed up for the competition, and the tournament schedule quickly came together. From the very first group-stage matches, it was clear that fierce competition was ahead. The intensity only grew throughout the knockout rounds, making for an exciting and entertaining tournament.

At the end of the competition, we crowned a champion. In addition to earning the title, the winner received a truly special honor: the Barré perpetual traveling trophy, which now proudly sits on his desk at least until the next tournament.

Both the World Cup prediction game and the FIFA tournament helped us enjoy the excitement of the World Cup together and created a great atmosphere across the company.
